A few small questions:

CC-BY 2.0 is neither a free software licence, nor the current version - why are you using that obsolete/non-free licence?

OSI has approved licences which are not necessarily free and open source software - why don't you require the offered solution to be free and open source software?

Will you upgrade the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0?

Who is the supporting organisation and how is it controlled?

Dear MJ Ray,

thanks for your post! We have chosen CC-BY 2.0 since it was ported to Germany, however you are right it is probably better to use the most recent version and to omit the porting, We updated the website accordingly. CC-BY however is the license for all textual contributions submitted to the platform not for any sourcecode releases.

For sourcecode licenses, we did not want to dictate one specific license, but rather let the community decide which one is most appropriate for a certain development project.

Yes, we will try to update the site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - a now theme/layout is currently in the works.

The project is currently hosted by the Universität Leipzig, but we plan to start a different non-profit organizational structure (e.g. foundation) later.

Sören, you already know about microPledge.com - why did you say a platform like Cofundos was missing? Do you feel that Cofundos adds something essential? I would rather say that both systems offer the user choice.
